What is PSYCHIC REIKI?

REIKI is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is not massage nor is it based on belief or suggestion. It is a subtle and effective form of energy work using spiritually guided life force energy.

A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. REIKI treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit, creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects. It has been used in some hospitals in the world to promote recovery after surgeries, treatments, accidents etc. Many have reported miraculous results.

There are no known contra-indications for REIKI. It is a non-intrusive treatment that can be delivered in a variety of settings and requires no special equipment.

REIKI is safe. There are no reports of harmful side effects.

There are many variations of REIKI. The original form of Reiki is USUI REIKI. PSYCHIC REIKI uses original REIKI adding spiritual/psychic guidance to the session. It is believed that during the REIKI session the Practitioner experiences what’s called a psychic opening. It means that the Practitioner uses high levels of empathy, intuition, and latent psychic abilities (a combination of intuition and inner knowing, plus the ability to connect with higher wisdom) during the treatment to be able to guide the energy where it needs to go and to receive spiritual guidance for the client if it’s needed. The results are discussed after the session.

Description of a session

A session is usually 60 minutes long. As a REIKI Master and Practitioner I will give you an opportunity to discuss any particular problems or issues you are experiencing and ask you what you are hoping to achieve from your session. Then I will describe the session to you.

For the actual session, you will rest comfortably on a massage table on your back with your shoes removed. Reiki can be performed with the client sitting comfortably in a chair as well. Unlike massage therapy, no articles of clothing will be removed.

A session can either be hands-on, where I will apply a light touch during the session, or hands-off where I will hold my hands slightly above your body. If you prefer not to be touched, you can tell me before we start. I usually prefer the hands-off method. Throughout the session I will be moving my hands through specific Reiki hand positions. You might feel a warming sensation or a tingling, a little pressure, or even itching during the session or nothing at all but sheer relaxation. Some people also see colours or shapes or experience different states like a feeling of floating etc. It is all normal and pleasant. The session should be very relaxing and invigorating.

During the Psychic REIKI session you can also have some unexpected thoughts or even dream about something of you fall asleep. As a Practitioner I can also get some thoughts or guidance for you, which I will discuss with you after the treatment. These are not advice or any magic wand solutions to your issues but simple general notions and leads that can be interpreted only by yourself.

How much Reiki would you need? A single session may be sufficient, but it is best to discuss this with your practitioner. For instance, if you have long-standing emotional or spiritual issues, a series of sessions may be beneficial. In general, if you find that helpful changes are taking place, it is a good idea to continue treatment. Some people come for REIKI treatment once a month as a part of their monthly spiritual hygiene.

REIKI can also be performed online. When working with energy, distance and time do not matter. But a live session, in the atmosphere of a specially prepared room, is much more pleasant for many people.
